A college football player died Sunday after collapsing during preseason conditioning drills on campus.
Virginia Union University said Monday that Quandarius Wilburn, 18, a defensive end, collapsed at the school’s football facility, Hovey Stadium, and was rushed by ambulance to VCU Medical Center, where he died, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports.
Prior to the workout, the Division II Panthers had breakfast, went to church together, and had lunch, Virginia Union said in a letter to the school community, according to the outlet.
