With that in mind here are some rankings of where some big cities across the northeast and right here in upstate and CNY ranked.

The purple area indicates over 10″ of rain! Locally, that occurred east of Lake Ontario and over parts of the southern Adirondacks, and over portions of the southern tier of New York state. Elsewhere, many parts of CNY in the red shades indicates many CNY locations received 5 to 9″ of rain.

–Syracuse had the 7th wettest July on record.
–Rochester had the 5th wettest July on record.
–Albany had the 2nd wettest July on record,
–Buffalo had the 3rd wettest July on record.
–Binghamton had the ALL-TIME wettest July on record.
–Not shown, but Watertown had the ALL-TIME wettest July on record.
